I’m still here … re-reading Tolkien

Totally agree with you on The Silmarillion. Came to it rather late in life after decades of regular re-readings of The Lord of the Rings and it knocked my sock off and still does.

The 2019 celebration of J.R.R Tolkien in New York City has begun!  The following details Tolkien events taking place at The Morgan Library and Museum and how YOU can win a pair of tickets to A Long Expected Party April 4th, 2019.

On January 25th 2019 the Tolkien: Maker of Middle-earth exhibition opens at The Morgan Library and Museum, of which many events are being organized around it.

As you may already know from our events page, Wayne Hammond and Christina Scull are presenting “Tolkien and the Visual Image,” on 1/31 Tickets can be purchased here

In addition there are several gallery talks, art workshops and in March we have Tolkien Weekend NYC 2019 #TolkienNYC2019 beginning with The Morgan Library and Museum’s “Tolkien and Inspiration: A Multidisciplinary Symposium” taking place 3/16.
